After services on the first day of Sukkot, Shaliach Yoel Gleizer will share a special program in the sukkah. Ushpizin means “guests” and refers to a Jewish tradition of inviting special guests to the sukkah during the holiday of Sukkot. This year, our ushpizin will be one of the hostages from October 7 who is still currently in captivity. A special chair will be reserved for our ushpizin, and although they cannot be here with us in person, we will come together to learn about this hostage, honor them, and pray for their release – and the release of all remaining hostages – as we approach the yahrzeit of October 7. Lunch will be served. All are welcome to attend this program if you have joined for services before or not. Due to the nature of this program, it is most appropriate for those age 16 and older.
Please RSVP using the form below by October 14 so we know how much food to prepare.
