Senior Caucus Lunch and Presentation: The Golden Age of Yiddish Radio

Everyone is welcome to join the Senior Caucus for a delicious lunch followed by a program by Jerry Danoff that looks back at the golden age of Yiddish radio from the 1930s through the 1950s. Original sound recordings will provide examples of traditional klezmer, Yiddish swing, popular tunes, and commercial jingles. Historic photographs will accompany the music. Relive memories from an earlier time or gain greater appreciation for what your parents and grandparents were listening to while sitting around that small Emerson radio in the living room.
