Join members of the Senior Caucus on Thursday, March 20, at 11:45 am for a delicious lunch followed by a showing of the award-winning movie Dough. This drama/comedy relates the story of a Jewish baker (Jonathan Pryce) who is struggling to save the family bakery that is in danger of closing due to a lack of business. He reluctantly hires a young Muslim apprentice, who mistakenly bakes marijuana into the challah. In addition to a huge uptake in sales, a respectful and supportive relationship develops between two men of different ages from disparate backgrounds and experiences. Dough is a warmhearted and humorous story about overcoming prejudice and finding redemption in unexpected places. There is no charge to come for the movie only, which begins at 12:45. Maybe you’ll get a treat to take home!
Please register for the lunch using the form below by noon on Monday, March 17.
